A user story: The inspiring journey of Ben from Ireland
At NuvoAir, our goal is to help those with respiratory diseases monitor and improve their overall health. Over the past couple months, we have been working with various individuals who have been diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis to get their feedback on our latest technology.
Today we would like to introduce Ben Mudge. Ben has helped physically train thousands of people around the world, including CF patients through his various fitness programs. You might even mistake him for Thor! Find out below how Ben is fighting Cystic Fibrosis and making a difference:
1. How has NuvoAir positvely impacted your daily life?
It gives me peace of mind when it comes to my lung health. Only getting mine tested every 3-4 months can feel like too long sometimes and your mind can really get the better of you. Having this just allows me to make sure I am doing ok.
2. Why would you recommend others to use NuvoAir?
I would highly recommend this to others as it’s just another way you can keep on top of your health and have visual data on how you are getting on. I always say if you are assessing you are just guessing. This tool allows you to take that assessment into your own home which is a big thing for me.
3. What advice do you have for CF patients to live the healthiest life possible?
My best advice for people with CF to live the healthiest lifestyle they can is to get out and get active. The human body is designed to move so get it moving. Take all your treatments and do all you need to do for your CF, then get out there and enjoy your life. Find an activity that doesn’t feel like a chore. Going to the gym and building some muscle is possibly the best advice I could give you as well. It’s going to make you stronger, move better, feel more confident, increase lung functions and so much more. My programmes are designed for all levels of fitness and have already shown great improvements to people lives both physically and mentally
Thank you Ben, you are a true inspiration!
